English rendition

1) My most dear and kind Lord Krishna, though I don’t know why, You have brought me to this place to act as You decide.

2) Surely You have business here that I don’t understand. Otherwise, why would You bring me to this awful land?

3) People here enjoy their bodies, living in the modes. How can they see Krishna-talk will satisfy their souls?

4) You are most compassionate, the transcendental mystic. Therefore, the impossible will soon be realistic.

5) When will they learn how this bhakti-rasa benefits them? Only by Your mercy could I possibly convince them.

6) By Your will, souls fall into deceptive energies. By Your will alone, these fallen souls can be released.

7) Please relieve these fallen souls, for if You so desire, they will gain the insight from Your words that they require.

8) Śrīmad Bhāgavatam is Your avatār in sound. Sober people, hearing words like these, shall come around:

SB 1.2.17 Daily Bhāgavatam class and service to the pure heals the ailing heart until it grows completely cured. After one hears topics of Lord Krishna every day, dormant love for Him revives and never goes away.

SB 1.2.18 Once such loving service is established in the heart, ill effects of nature’s modes diminish and depart. Lustfulness and greediness all swept out of the way, one moves on to goodness and great happiness each day.

SB 1.2.19 As one gains a taste to hear the virtues of the Lord, Krishna in the heart removes illusion in accord.

SB 1.2.20 Touched by pure devotion and relieved of low desire, rapt in Krishna science, one is thoroughly inspired.

SB 1.2.21 Cut the knot of false attachment, elevate your soul. End the chain of karma as your faith takes solid hold.

9) Once the grip of ignorance and passion has been cleared, all the troubles buried in the heart will disappear.

10) How can I persuade them, being fallen and alone? Only You can do it. I am helpless on my own.

11) Somehow, Lord, You brought me here to teach them about You. My success or failure now will happen as You choose.

12) Guru of the Universe! I simply speak Your words. If You energize my speech, Your message will be heard.

13) Only by Your mercy will my teaching become pure. Then their miseries will go away. Of that I’m sure.

14) I’m Your dancing puppet, Lord. If dancing is required, make me dance, yes, make me dance and dance as you desire.

15) I lack bhakti and vedānta. Still, I trust that You will allow the meaning of my name to become true.
