oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya

nārāyaṇaṁ namaskṛtya naraṁ caiva narottamam devīṁ sarasvatīṁ vyāsaṁ tato jayam udīrayet

naṣṭa-prāyeṣv abhadreṣu nityaṁ bhāgavata-sevayā bhagavaty uttama-śloke bhaktir bhavati naiṣṭhikī

English rendition

I bow to Krishna, Lord of all, the greatest Personality (SB 1.1.1)

Before reciting Bhāgavatam and overcoming sin, I worship Lord Nārāyan and His transcendental twin, along with Mother Sarasvatī, queen of education, as well as Śrī Vyās, who first compiled the whole narration. (SB 1.2.4)

A daily class in Bhāgavatam and service to the pure will nurse the ailing heart until it grows completely cured. By simply hearing topics of Lord Krishna every day, our dormant love for Him will thrive and never go away. (SB 1.2.18)
